Spend about 10 minutes sharing an appreciation both ways using the Appreciation Dialogue. Then plan a time every day next week when you will continue sharing appreciations with each other using the tool.
I cannot overstate the value this will have to the whole process going forward. This exercise will (1) help you flood positive energy into your relationship and push out negativity making you feel safer which is important for all that we will do in the coming weeks; and (2) help you learn the skill we call Mirroring which is a key component of the Couples Dialogue we will learn next week.
